Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on US President Donald Trump's remarks that a decision to supply Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles has been made to some extent, said that it is necessary to wait for more specific statements from Washington regarding the provision of cruise missiles to Ukraine.

"We understand that we probably need to wait for clearer statements, if there are any," Peskov said, as quoted by Russian Interfax.

Regarding the potential missile transfer, US President Trump said he does not want to escalate tensions with Russia and will try to clarify how and for what purpose these cruise missiles would be used.

"As for arms deliveries, they happen first, and then statements are made – at least that has always been the case under the Biden administration, as we know well. This time we'll see," Peskov added.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that he had, to some extent, made a decision regarding the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Last month, US Vice President JD Vance said that Washington is considering Ukraine's request for long-range Tomahawks capable of striking deep into Russia, including Moscow, although it was unclear whether a final decision had been made.

Recently, Russian ruler Vladimir Putin warned that a US decision to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles for strikes deep inside Russia would destroy Moscow's relations with Washington.
