UK to provide Ukraine with 1,000 multirole missiles
The United Kingdom has announced that it will supply Ukraine with an additional 1,000 multirole missiles to strengthen the country's air defence capabilities.
The weapons in question are Lightweight Multirole Missiles (Martlets). The Belfast-manufactured missiles can be launched from various platforms and man-portable air defence systems.
"[They] will be critical to defending Ukrainian infrastructure and cities from Russia's escalating drone and missile attacks," UK Ministry of Defence wrote on X.

Earlier, the UK announced an additional £500 million in urgent air defence aid for Ukraine.
On 12 February, it was reported that the UK is to join in purchasing US weapons for Ukraine under the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme.
