Zelenskyy meets with King Charles III

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with King Charles III of the United Kingdom on Wednesday 14 October.

Zelenskyy arrived in the UK earlier today, where he held an audience with the King.

"I thank His Majesty King Charles III for the audience. It is important for me to have the opportunity to personally thank him for his unwavering support for Ukraine. We appreciate all the assistance provided by the United Kingdom," Zelenskyy wrote on social media.

On 10 October, Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham agreed to hold a bilateral meeting in the coming days to discuss maintaining sanctions pressure on Russia.

It also emerged that the UK plans to speed up the delivery of LMM missiles to Ukraine, which are used to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones.

Meanwhile, Andy Burnham stated that he wants to "repair bridges" between Ukraine and the US but refrained from criticising Trump ahead of Zelenskyy's visit to London.
