Lithuania will hand over to the Ukrainian military kamikaze drones, purchased with funds raised within the Legion Of Boom campaign, in October-November.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania, Petro Beshta, stated this at an online briefing on Wednesday, reports "Ukrinform."

"We all remember the first Lithuanian fundraising marathon for Bayraktar in May. Also (journalist. - Ed.) Andrius Tapinas initiated a marathon in August for kamikaze drones for Ukraine. This project is being implemented. We expect them in October-November. These kamikaze drones will be available for the Ukrainian army," Beshta said.

The diplomat reminded that since the Russian invasion, Lithuania has provided military aid to Ukraine worth about 120 million euros, which is approximately 0,2% of the country's GDP. Lithuanian society has also joined campaigns for assistance to Ukraine, including military aid.

The Legion of Boom fundraising campaign for arms for Ukraine was dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine. Subsequently, it became known that Lithuania would purchase for Ukraine 37 Polish-made kamikaze drones for the effective fight against the Russian invaders.

As previously reported, the United States finalized a contract for Ukraine for the Switchblade 600 tactical strike unmanned systems developed by the American company AeroVironment, known as kamikaze drones.
