Lithuania will purchase for Ukraine 37 Polish-made kamikaze drones for the effective fight against the Russian invaders.

"Part of the funds collected by Legion Of Boom (1,000,000 euros) will be transferred to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense and will be used for the purchase of 37 kamikaze drones from Poland and then sent to Ukraine. Thank you, everyone, who made donations!" Arvydas Anušauskas, Minister of Defence of Lithuania, wrote on Twitter.

The initiator of the Legion Of Boom campaign, journalist Andrius Tapinas, clarified that the WB Group manufacturer would provide some of the drones for free.

"At first, we expected 25, but we managed to agree on 27, and the Polish manufacturer will provide another 10 to support Ukraine," Tapinas wrote on Facebook.

Warmate drones are light (about 5.7 kg) and transportable, with a range of up to 30 km and a max attack airspeed of 150 km/h.

The Legion of Boom fundraising campaign for arms for Ukraine was dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine. According to Tapinas, Lithuanians have donated 1.545 million euros.

As previously reported, the Lithuanian government approved the first emergency reconstruction projects for the infrastructure destroyed by Russian troops in the Kyiv region.

In addition, the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, said that he supports a tourist visa ban for citizens of Russia. According to him, "the whole of Russia" should feel the consequences of the war in Ukraine.
