France detains two crew members of Russian-linked shadow fleet tanker
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has confirmed that French authorities detained two crew members of the tanker Boracay, which is considered part of Russia's shadow fleet.
Lecornu said on X that the two crew members were taken into custody by the decision of the Brest prosecutor's office and described the vessel as a tanker belonging to Russia's shadow fleet.

AFP has earlier reported that French naval personnel boarded the tanker Boracay, which is currently under investigation by French authorities.
The tanker sails under the flag of Benin and has been anchored off France's Atlantic coast near Saint-Nazaire for several days.
Media reports previously suggested that the Boracay may be linked to recent drone incidents observed over Denmark, as the vessel had sailed past its coast.
French President Emmanuel Macron commented that the Boracay was suspected of "serious offences" but declined to address speculation about its involvement in drone launches.
