Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has hit back at recent comments by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, calling them "lectures about corruption" from a politician mired in corruption scandals. The ministry accompanied its response with an edited picture of Orbán in a zebra-print suit.

Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesman for Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, commented on Orbán's latest social media posts about a corruption scandal in Ukraine, where the Hungarian leader spoke of a "wartime mafia" supposedly linked to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and urged Brussels to stop providing financial support to Ukraine.

"Lectures about corruption from a politician who is embroiled in corruption scandals and has made his country the poorest in the EU? No, thanks," he wrote X.

Tykhyi added an edited image to his tweet, depicting Orbán in a suit with zebra-like stripes.

The image alludes to a recent corruption scandal in Hungary linked to a mansion belonging to Orbán, where journalists found a private zoo with exotic animals such as zebras.

In late September, protesters gathered outside the gates of Orbán's mansion, carrying anti-government slogans and zebra-shaped balloons.
