Zelenskyy and Macron sign declaration on strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have signed a declaration of intent in France aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities.
On Monday 17 November, during Zelenskyy's visit to France, he and Macron signed a declaration of intent on cooperation in the field of Ukraine's acquisition of defence equipment.
No further details have been released at this stage.
The Ukrainian president's visit to France had been announced the previous week. It was reported that the two presidents would discuss a range of issues concerning bilateral cooperation.
Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine and France would sign a "historic agreement" that day to strengthen Ukraine's Air Force capabilities.
The following day, 18 November, Zelenskyy will travel to Madrid.
