Russian strike on Odesa damages Polish consulate

A Russian attack on the city of Odesa on the night of 12-13 January damaged the Polish consulate in the city.

Maciej Wewiór, the Polish Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said that none of the consulate staff were injured.

"Great respect to the entire team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland working in Ukraine," Wewiór wrote on X.

The attack also severely damaged two energy facilities in Odesa belonging to DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company.

In late September, a Russian missile damaged the Polish Embassy in Ukraine.

The European Union Delegation in Ukraine also sustained damage during a large-scale Russian missile strike on the night of 28-29 September.

Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukrainian oblasts on the night of 13-14 November 2025, during which debris from an Iskander missile damaged the Azerbaijani embassy.
