President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that a Ukrainian delegation is currently on its way to the United States, where meetings with representatives of US President Donald Trump are due to take place over the coming days.

Zelenskyy said during a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart Petr Pavel that the Ukrainian team is actively working with representatives of the US president.

"In the coming days, meetings of our Ukrainian representatives in the United States will be scheduled," he noted.

Zelenskyy added that the Ukrainian delegation is currently on its way to the United States.

The Ukrainian president expressed hope that after these meetings "there will be more clarity both on the documents that have effectively been prepared with the American side and on Russia's response to all the diplomatic work that has and will take place".

He also noted that some materials related to security guarantees and the recovery package still need to be finalised.

Zelenskyy said that if everything is finalised, the agreement could be signed during the World Economic Forum in Davos next week.

"The issue is not urgently signing it today. What matters is that it contains all the aspects we discussed with our partners, so that Ukraine is not left without a penny after the war, so that we have real financial support. That is what we are working on," he added.

This week, the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will travel to the World Economic Forum in Davos, where they are expected to meet and finalise a "prosperity" agreement.

The "prosperity" agreement envisages attracting US$800 billion for Ukraine's reconstruction over a 10-year period. It is believed that the agreement will open the way for a range of loans, grants and investment opportunities from private companies to provide funding.

The Ukrainian government previously stated that the US$800 billion agreement for Ukraine is agreed with the EU and does not contradict accession conditions.
