"You need to apologise": Albanian PM trolls Trump over ending nonexistent war
At the European Political Community summit, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has joked with French President Emmanuel Macron and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Copenhagen about US President Donald Trump's claim of ending a war that never existed.
In September, Trump mistakenly claimed that he had resolved a conflict between Azerbaijan and "Albania", when he actually meant the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
On 2 October, standing beside Macron and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Rama jokingly demanded that Macron apologise for not congratulating the leaders on resolving the "conflict between Albania and Azerbaijan."
Rama told Macron that he needed to apologise to both of them because Macron had not congratulated them on the peace agreement that President Trump had concluded between Albania and Azerbaijan, which prompted laughter.
Macron responded in jest that he was sorry about that and playfully patted Rama on the cheek.

Trump had also previously confused Cambodia with Azerbaijan. Last week, ministers from those countries, who have no particular ties, met at the UN General Assembly and shared a handshake photo on social media.
On 8 August, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed an agreement at the White House, in the presence of US President Donald Trump, which included the creation of a transit corridor.
