Zelenskyy's office reveals amount of partner contributions to US weapons procurement initiative for Ukraine's Armed Forces
Partner countries' contributions to the PURL (Prioritised Ukraine Requirement List) initiative, which provides for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine, have already exceeded US$2.8 billion.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with NATO International Staff representative Ariella Viehe. The key topic of discussion was the implementation of the PURL initiative.
Zhovkva thanked NATO for coordinating the delivery of lethal American weapons to Ukraine within this initiative.
In total, contributions from partners to cover Ukraine's priority needs have reached US$2.82 billion. This has made it possible to assemble five packages of American weapons to strengthen Ukraine's defence.
The parties agreed on the steps required to secure new contributions soon from NATO member and partner countries that have not yet joined the programme.
In addition, they discussed in detail the mechanisms for ensuring NATO member states' contributions for the coming year.
Under the PURL programme, launched by US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in July 2025, NATO Allies purchase American weapons for Ukraine.
Recently, it became known that Latvia decided to contribute an additional €2.2 million to the PURL initiative.
