Zelenskyy's team discloses programme for his visit to London and Brussels
Serhii Nykyforov, spokesman for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has outlined the programme for Zelenskyy's official visit to London and Brussels.
It is reported that during his official visit to London, Zelenskyy will hold meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. After completing the programme in the British capital, he will fly to Brussels.
Zelenskyy's visit to London will begin with a brief meeting with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
Zelenskyy, together with Starmer, Macron and Merz, will also deliver short comments to the media.
During the visit, the leaders will hold a trilateral meeting, and Zelenskyy is scheduled to have separate one-to-one talks with Starmer.
After this, Zelenskyy, Starmer, Macron and Merz will hold a videoconference with EU leaders, European heads of state and government and NATO representatives. The final list of participants is still being determined.
Zelenskyy is expected in Brussels in the evening, where he will meet NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
He will then hold a meeting with Rutte, European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
In his evening video address, Zelenskyy said that a "new diplomatic week" begins on Monday.
"There will be consultations with European leaders – above all on security issues, support for our resilience and assistance packages for our defence. Air defence first and foremost, long-term financing for Ukraine. And of course, we will discuss our shared vision and joint positions in negotiations," Zelenskyy noted.
Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, has pledged to present Zelenskyy with detailed information about his meetings with the US side, which took place in Miami.
