NATO secretary general reports on meeting with Zelenskyy in Brussels
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has spoken about his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels.
Rutte and Zelenskyy met in Brussels on Thursday 15 October.
"Good to see President Zelenskyy in Brussels. We talked about the importance of implementing an energy ceasefire as well as NATO Allies' continuous support for Ukraine, including through the PURL mechanism," Rutte wrote on X.
Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels with his team earlier today to attend a meeting of the European Council and hold talks with partners. He is also expected to meet with Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar on 16 October.
Earlier, Kyiv said that the time and location need to be agreed for a full-scale meeting between Zelenskyy and Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar.
Magyar said he would discuss the "historic success" in changing relations between the two countries with the Ukrainian president but stressed that the meeting will be brief.
