Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán believes that drones flying into the territory of European Union member states that do not belong to those states should be shot down.

Orbán believes that EU states should shoot down intruding drones.

"Shoot them down. That's all. If you have drones which do not belong to your state, shoot them down. Of course," Orbán said in response to questions from journalists before the start of the informal European Council summit in Copenhagen.

Meanwhile, EU Chief Diplomat Kaja Kallas made it clear that she has virtually no doubt that Russia is behind a series of recent drone incidents in Europe.

European Commissioner for Defence Andrius Kubilius called for the urgent development of a drone wall on the eastern flank of the EU.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that shooting down intruding drones with missiles is unjustifiably expensive, so new technologies will be introduced to counter enemy drones.
