Netherlands allocates €25m to support Ukraine's energy sector
Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel has announced the allocation of funds to support Ukraine's energy system.
Van Weel, who is visiting Kyiv, stated on X that €25 million will be provided for equipment, emergency repairs and gas purchases for Ukraine.
He also stressed that maintaining strong pressure on Russia is of vital importance.
Therefore, he announced that the Netherlands will host the initial stages of establishing a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
"Every single crime committed by Russia must have consequences," the Dutch foreign minister added.
Earlier, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, who also visited Kyiv, announced the allocation of €150,000 to support Ukraine's energy sector ahead of the winter.
Recently, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre pledged around US$150 million in aid to help provide electricity and heating for Ukraine during the winter.
On 21 October, Sweden announced a contribution of €35 million through the World Bank to help Ukraine prepare for winter.
