The European Union may allocate up to €9 billion for military aid to Ukraine in 2025 as part of assistance funded through proceeds derived from frozen Russian assets.

The proposal by the EU’s chief diplomat Kaja Kallas to allocate billions of euros in military aid to Ukraine has stalled because of the absence of concrete implementation plans.

Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, is continuing discussions with EU member states on her €40 billion initiative for military support to Ukraine and hopes to secure its approval.

A source familiar with the matter has told European Pravda that EU ambassadors agreed on Friday 13 March to extend a number of EU sanctions against Russia after reaching an agreement with Hungary.
