NATO allies have reached an agreement regarding funding for military assistance to Ukraine next year in the amount of €40 billion.

A survey covering twelve EU member states has revealed a significant divergence of views regarding whether Ukraine's accession to the EU would be seen as a positive development, varying by country.

Most Europeans support increasing military support for Ukraine, although the opposite opinion prevails in some countries.

The overwhelming majority of Europeans believe that the Russian-Ukrainian war will end in peace talks, while in some countries, more than 50% are convinced that partners should push Ukraine to negotiate. 

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has indicated that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy turned down his proposed "truce" between Ukraine and Russia, which would have involved freezing the current front line.

Vasyl Zvarych, Ukraine's new ambassador to Czechia, has officially commenced work in this position on 2 July.
