German police have officially confirmed that a dead person found in a forest is a 9-year-old girl from Ukraine who had been missing for a week.

The US Department of State has confirmed that the long-standing ban on the provision of US-supplied weapons to the Azov Brigade has been lifted. 

Warsaw estimates that Russia can store approximately 100 tactical nuclear warheads in Kaliningrad Oblast.

European officials are reportedly considering ways to retain gas supply through the Russia-Ukraine pipeline when the contract with Gazprom expires (which Ukraine has absolutely refused to renew), as this is still critical for numerous countries of the bloc.

The Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament) has ratified the agreement with the European Union on the so-called Ukraine Facility Plan, which defines the obligations for reforms for the period until 2027, which is a condition for the next tranches of macro-financial assistance from the EU totaling €50 billion.

Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, has said that the first phase of the screening of Ukrainian legislation for compliance with EU law has been completed. 

Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, believes that the current approach of "partial authorisations" for Ukraine to use US-supplied weapons is wrong and plans to discuss this issue with the White House.

This Friday 7 June, the European Commission will verbally update EU ambassadors on the status of Ukraine and Moldova's European integration measures.

A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, along with several other officials, will take place on Friday, 7 June.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Oleksii Makeiev has argued that the idea of "protecting the sky" over part of Ukraine with Western air defence systems from neighbouring countries is very relevant and should not be seen as a "red line".
