UK Defence Secretary John Healey has announced ahead of a meeting of ministers at NATO headquarters in Brussels that London is set to allocate an additional £500 million for urgent support to Ukraine's air defence.

European ministers will discuss military support for Ukraine from the EU, as well as cooperation in defence innovation, with Ukraine's Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov during the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting at the level of defence ministers.
