Frozen Russian assets held within the European Union should be used to provide Ukraine with a reparations loan in 2026-2027 to finance its budgetary and military needs, as suggested by Sweden and Finland.

European Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier announced on 24 September in Brussels that Slovakia and eight other EU member states will participate in a meeting on the creation of a drone wall on the EU's eastern border.
