Zelensky Discussed with Erdoğan Grain Theft by Russia, Nuclear Terrorism, and Defence Cooperation

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Lviv.

According to Zelensky, Erdoğan's visit "is a strong message of support from such a powerful country as Turkey."

"We discussed with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Lviv a possible improvement of the grain export initiative, the situation around the Zaporizhzhia NPP and nuclear blackmail by the Russian Federation, Russia's large-scale theft of grain in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. In addition, we touched upon the issues of defence interaction," wrote Zelensky on Facebook.

He expressed his confidence that further expansion of cooperation between the states would strengthen both sides.

Earlier, Zelensky held a meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in Lviv.

Later today, a tripartite meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Turkey and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is expected.
