Germany Handed Over Six More GEPARDs and Ammunition to Ukraine

Friday, 23 September 2022

Germany handed over to Ukraine six more GGEPARDs anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery units and 6,000 rounds for them.

This is stated in a report of the federal government of Germany.

Germany has already sent 30 GEPARD anti-aircraft self-propelled guns to Ukraine. In the new batch, Ukraine received six GEPARD installations and 6,000 rounds for them.

In addition, Germany handed Ukraine 3,000 155 mm shells, including 1,000 signal and 2,000 smoke.

In addition, they sent four Panzerhaubitze 2000 anti-aircraft guns with ammunition, MARS II anti-aircraft guns with ammunition, 50 Dingo armoured vehicles, and a "winter package" of aid - thermal clothing, generator sets, tents, and food rations.

German political parties, especially the ones that make a parliamentary coalition, demand that the government increase the support of Ukraine with weapons after the impressive success of Ukrainian forces in reclaiming territories in Kharkiv Oblast.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz insists that Germany "cannot act alone" in this matter.
