Zelensky's Office Explained Situation with NASAMS: Not Yet in Ukraine

Monday, 26 September 2022

The spokesman of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, explained his statements to an American TV channel that Ukraine had received NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems. Serhii Nikiforov made it clear it was a decision to hand them over.

"We have received a positive decision. We have received consent. NASAMS itself has not yet physically arrived," spokesman Serhii Nikiforov commented to Suspilne.

As previously reported, Zelensky said to American CBS, "we received NASAMS," thanking the USA for the crucial weapons systems.

In mid-September, the Pentagon reported that Ukraine would receive the first two NASAMS SAM batteries within the next two months.
