The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that the Russian military would soon return to the country.

As the Belarusian state agency BelTA reports, he stated this at a meeting with the military.

According to Lukashenko, Russia is not ready for a new conflict. "The last thing they need is the second conflict. You know they have enough problems. Therefore, do not count on a large number of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. But it will not be one thousand people," said the Belarusian dictator.

"And be ready to host these people soon and place them where needed, according to our plan. Without busting, without heightened emotions and situation," he instructed the Minister of Defenсe of Belarus.

Earlier Lukashenko announced an agreement with Vladimir Putin on the deployment of a joint military task force. Lukashenko explains such a move as Ukraine's plans to launch a war against Belarus.

""We were warned yesterday through unofficial channels about a strike on Belarus from the territory of Ukraine. As it was stated: 'We will make it a Crimean bridge - 2.' My answer was simple: 'Tell the president of Ukraine and these other lunatics that the Crimean bridge will seem like a walk in the park if they touch even one meter of our territory with their dirty hands'," Belarusian media quoted Lukashenka.

At the same time, Lukashenko is trying to reassure Belarusians, saying that the mobilization will not take place.

"People have already heard in their guts: 'Something is wrong there, tension and other things.' And what to do, and how to do it? I repeat once again: everyone should do their own job in their own place," he convinces.
