Moldova's President Maia Sandu has called to help Ukraine win the war against Russia on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to the Moldovan outlet NewsMaker, Sandu has called on countries to help Ukraine win. Otherwise, she said, "each of us will be in danger."

"We believe in democracy. We value democracy. We want to be part of the free world. The only solution is to unite. Yes, it is tough, but we must help Ukraine win this war. Otherwise, each of us will be in danger... We do not see Russia as a democratic state soon, which means that the danger remains," Sandu said.

She also mentioned the energy crisis that Moldova is facing.

Sandu pointed out that Moldova copes with challenges "thanks to the huge help of the European Union and partners."

In December, Sandu said she did not see any way to maintain constructive relations with Russia after everything the Kremlin has done to Ukraine.

Sandu also believes that her country should join the EU by the end of this decade.
