President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited Mykolaiv Oblast.

"A business trip to Mykolaiv Oblast. The region is heroically withstanding all attacks by terrorists. During the visit, I held a meeting on the current situation in the region," wrote Zelenskyy on Facebook, adding a video from this visit.

The President said that he discussed the operational situation in Ukraine's south, as well as the consequences of missile and drone attacks by the occupiers.

The state of the region's energy infrastructure, resources available for its protection, and rates of recovery were also considered.

Apart from that, the reconstruction of educational institutions of the Mykolaiv Oblast, the long-term recovery of the region's economy and the creation of new jobs were discussed.

Later, Zelensky announced that he held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, in Mykolaiv Oblast.

"Together with the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen visited the wounded Ukrainian defenders in one of the hospitals of Mykolaiv. It is important that our soldiers are able to undergo not only physical, but also psychological rehabilitation," the President added.

Denmark handed over 11 tons of equipment for water supply and heating at the request of Mykolaiv authorities.

As part of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, Denmark took responsibility for rebuilding Mykolaiv.

The country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously allocated 119.5 million Danish kroner (16 million euros) for winter in Mykolaiv and Kremenchuk, focusing on repairing residential buildings, water supply and central heating.

In December 2022, Denmark approved the aid package for Ukraine worth 265.6 million euros.
