Monday, 20 February 2023

Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, has said that the presidents of the USA and Ukraine were both satisfied with Joe Biden's visit in Kyiv, and it can be called a victory and a clear signal for the Kremlin.

Kuleba called the visit historic and noted that it was a victory for Ukraine.

"I will say this: both presidents are satisfied with the conversation. The atmosphere is as trusting and heartfelt as possible. This visit is a victory for the Ukrainian people and President Zelenskyy. It was carried out against everything for the sake of the victory of Ukraine and the entire free world. A clear signal to the swamps – no one is afraid of you!", Kuleba emphasised after the meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden.

He also said that in the following days he would go on foreign trips again – to Brussels, The Hague and New York.

On 21 February, the first tripartite Ukraine-EU-NATO meeting will be held in Brussels to coordinate efforts on weapons, training, and increasing the scope of work of the defence industry.

According to Kuleba, negotiations on weapons, responsibility, Ukraine's membership in the EU, and participation in events marking the anniversary of the beginning of the great war are also planned in The Hague.

The trip to New York is connected with the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council. "It will be about the coalition in support of Ukraine, Zelenskyy's peace formula, as well as other important decisions," Kuleba said.

At noon, President Zelenskyy, confirmed that President Biden was indeed in Kyiv.

Soon, Biden's statement appeared, in which he announced that he was preparing to announce a new aid package for Ukraine. According to media, the cost of the package will be US$500 million.
