Wednesday, 22 February 2023

On Wednesday, the EU ambassadors agreed on the extension of sanctions against the regime of the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexandr Lukashenka.

"EU ambassadors have now agreed a one-year extension of the visa bans/asset freezes on 195 people and 34 entities from Belarus, including Lukashenka and his inner circle," Rikard Jozwiak, "Radio Liberty" wrote on Twitter.

As reported, Belarusian and Lithuanian activists discovered a chain of companies that apparently helped sell Belarusian fertilisers to Europe to circumvent EU sanctions.

Previously, the media published an investigation about how the Russian authorities made a detailed plan of the Kremlin plans to establish full control over Belarus over the next decade.
