The Lithuanian army conducted a two-week training course for Ukrainian soldiers, during which they were taught how to use the Swedish L70 anti-aircraft gun.

"The Lithuanian Air Force has trained L70 anti-aircraft gun operators who [now – ed.] are able to prepare the gun for combat, fire at air targets and perform post-combat maintenance and minor repairs," states Lithuanian Armed Forces.

After live-fire training, Ukrainian soldiers can destroy hostile planes, helicopters, and remotely piloted aircraft at a distance of up to five kilometres in all weather conditions.

The two-week training course for instructors of Ukrainian servicemen was conducted by the Military Law Enforcement Service.

"During the course, the soldiers improved their knowledge and skills in the areas of professional tactics, traffic regulation and control, use of special equipment, planning operations and protection of important persons. Ukrainian soldiers shared their experience gained during the war with the military police instructors, analysed the lessons learned and prospects for future cooperation," the statement said.

As reported, Lithuania will help train about 1,600 Ukrainian military in 2023, including the organisation of courses to train low-level commanders.
