Germany Sent First Batch of 10 Leopard 1 Tanks to Ukraine

Germany has reported on the new military aid delivered to Ukraine, including ten Leopard 1 A5 tanks.

According to the updated list of weapons provided to Ukraine, published by the German government, the recently delivered weapons include 10 Leopard 1 A5 tanks and an additional 20 MG3 machine guns used on Leopard 2, Marder, and DACHS vehicles (in total, 138 units have been transferred so far).

Additionally, around 1,300 155mm howitzer ammunition and 2,064 smoke ammunition of the same caliber were provided, along with another bridging system and 12 trailers.

The shipment also included ten ground-based radar stations, in addition to the eight previously delivered ones, as well as 16 Zetros trucks, four vehicles for border guards, and an additional 100,000 individual tactical first-aid kits.

During the NATO summit in Vilnius, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed a new aid package for Ukraine worth around 600 million euros. The package included two launcher systems for the Patriot air defence system, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 25 Leopard 1 tanks, and one Luna unmanned aerial vehicle system.

The previously reported shipment included six Gepard anti-aircraft guns, 3,230 155mm ammunition, and many other items.
