The Polish Embassy in Minsk has provided confirmation to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Belarusian military helicopters did indeed violate Polish airspace on August 1, 2023.

As reported by RMF24, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the embassy in Minsk had, on August 4, transmitted "detailed information confirming the fact that on August 1, 2023, two Belarusian military helicopters violated Polish airspace."

"The provided data contradicts Belarus's position expressed in official statements by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. We call on the Belarusian side to promptly provide an explanation of the incident, correct its position on this matter, and cease all provocations along the Polish-Belarusian border," stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On Wednesday, Poland deployed attack helicopters to the border in Podlaskie Voivodeship following a provocation by Belarusian helicopters, and they will be on full alert based in two locations.

Additionally, Warsaw and Vilnius recently reported that about a hundred Wagner mercenaries moved towards the so-called Suwałki Gap, and a Wagner group was deployed near the Lithuanian border in the Grodno Oblast of Belarus.

The Pentagon stated that they do not see any risks for NATO due to the situation on the Poland-Belarus border.
