Ukraine's defence minister announces next Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting
Ukraine's Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the next meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein format) will take place on 3 December.
On Friday 14 November, Shmyhal took part in a videoconference with the defence ministers of the E5 countries – Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland and France – as well as Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
"We are preparing the next Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting on 3 December. I thank our allies for their consistent support!" he wrote on X.
Shmyhal did not specify whether the upcoming meeting will be held online or offline. It is known that NATO foreign ministers will meet at NATO's headquarters on 3-4 December.
The previous Ramstein format meeting was held on 15 October – the first since February to be attended in person by US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
