Historic EU Enlargement Summit to take place in Brussels, Zelenskyy to participate online
A summit on EU enlargement, described as an unprecedented event, will be held in Brussels on 4 November, bringing together countries at the level of national leaders.
As reported by Euronews, on Tuesday 4 November, EU leaders and leaders of candidate countries are set to gather for a summit on enlargement, an event described as unprecedented in scale and pivotal for the EU's enlargement policy.
During the summit, leaders of the candidate countries will outline their progress and challenges on the path towards EU integration.
Countries will be represented at the level of heads of state or government, and the participation of European Council President António Costa has been officially confirmed.
European Pravda has found that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join the event remotely.
A distinctive feature of the summit will be its televised format – the discussions will be broadcast live on Euronews. The event will take place from 14:00 to 17:00 Central European Time.
The timing of the summit coincides with the European Commission's presentation of this year's report on the progress of candidate countries, including Ukraine.
On 4 November, the EU is also expected to approve the fifth tranche of funding for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility.
