Starmer meets with Zelenskyy, Macron and Merz in London
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has welcomed Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron on the doorstep of 10 Downing Street in London.
As reported by Sky News, Merz was the first to arrive at the UK prime minister's residence.
Starmer greeted the German chancellor and the two shook hands before going inside.

Starmer then welcomed Macron. As with Merz, Starmer greeted the French president with a handshake and a hug. Some journalists asked questions but the leaders did not respond.

Zelenskyy then waved to Larry the cat, who was sitting by the door, before he and Starmer went into the residence.
The three leaders will hold joint talks and make a video call to European leaders and the leadership of the EU and NATO.

In the evening Zelenskyy will fly to Brussels, where he is scheduled to meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
On 9 December 2025, the Ukrainian president is expected in Rome.
Zelenskyy's diplomatic tour follows a series of meetings between Ukrainian and US representatives concerning a "peace plan".
