Four-leader meeting in London ends, Starmer and Zelenskyy continue talks
A joint meeting of the leaders of the UK, France, Germany and Ukraine in London has ended, with the UK prime minister and the Ukrainian president continuing bilateral talks.
As reported by SkyNews, shortly before 17:00, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stepped out onto the doorstep of 10 Downing Street for a group photo.
Journalists tried to ask questions but the leaders did not respond. After a brief exchange of words and handshakes, Macron and Merz walked away from the prime minister's office, while Starmer and Zelenskyy returned inside to continue talks one-on-one.
The meeting began at about 15:30 Kyiv time.
In the evening Zelenskyy will fly to Brussels, where he is scheduled to meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
On 9 December 2025, the Ukrainian president is expected in Rome.
Zelenskyy's diplomatic tour follows a series of meetings between Ukrainian and US representatives concerning a "peace plan".
