Trump-Zelenskyy meeting starts in Davos
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has begun a meeting with his US counterpart Donald Trump in Davos, Switzerland.
As reported by Serhii Nykyforov, spokesperson for Zelenskyy, the meeting is taking place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Zelenskyy is also expected to deliver his main address at the WEF later today.
He will also take part in a panel session entitled International Advisory Council for Ukraine's Recovery. As part of the event, Zelenskyy is set to meet with representatives of energy companies.
Earlier, US digital news outlet Axios reported that Zelenskyy was planning to meet with Trump in Switzerland, while White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would travel to Moscow to meet Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Both meetings are expected to focus on discussing the US "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine.
