Kyslytsia officially becomes first deputy to head of Ukrainian President's Office

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Serhii Kyslytsia as first deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, led by Kyrylo Budanov, on 5 January.

"Serhii Olehovych Kyslytsia shall be appointed as first deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine," the decree published on the president's website reads.

The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Kyslytsia from the post of first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine earlier on Monday.

The head of state explained that in the new post, Kyslytsia will continue work on the negotiation track. Kyslytsia is one of the key negotiators in the peace process and at meetings with US representatives.

Zelenskyy noted that Kyslytsia will strengthen the diplomatic track in the Office of the President.

Zelenskyy also explained that he is strengthening his negotiating team.

Before being appointed first deputy foreign minister in February 2025, Kyslytsia served for five years as Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN.
