Zelenskyy: EU to deliver additional generators and energy equipment to Ukraine soon

Monday, 2 February 2026 —

The European Union is set to deliver additional generators and energy equipment to Ukraine soon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said after a conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Zelenskyy said the call focused on EU energy support for Ukraine.

Zelenskyy added that von der Leyen briefed him on finalising the EU's 20th sanctions package against Russia. They also discussed diplomatic efforts and work on documents covering security guarantees and a recovery plan.

Von der Leyen said after the call that pressure on Russia needs to be increased.

In the second half of January, the European Commission announced the delivery of 447 generators to Ukraine worth €3.7 million from the EU's strategic reserves.

Poland is also delivering hundreds of generators to Ukraine using EU funds.
