Norway will send two F-16 fighter jets to Denmark to train Ukrainian pilots in their operation.

As reported by Reuters, Norwegian Defence Minister Bjørn Arild Gram said Norway had sent 10 instructors to Denmark to help train Ukrainian pilots.

At the same time, the Norwegian Air Force has replaced its F-16 aircraft with F-35 fifth-generation fighter jets.

On 22 December 2023, the Netherlands decided to start preparations for the delivery of the first 18 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

At the end of December 2023, reports emerged that the first group of Ukrainian pilots had completed basic training with the UK Royal Air Force and were now learning to fly F-16s in Denmark.

On 19 December 2023, reports suggested that France would join the training of Ukrainian pilots on Western fighter jets starting in 2024.

On 13 November 2023, Romania opened an F-16 training centre in cooperation with the Netherlands, which will also train Ukrainians.
