Zelenskyy meets with King Felipe VI of Spain

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met King Felipe VI of Spain while visiting the country.

The meeting took place at the Royal Residence of Zarzuela in Madrid.

Zelenskyy thanked Spain for its support in helping Ukraine resist Russian aggression.

He expressed particular gratitude for the military assistance provided and for the warm welcome shown to Ukrainians who have found temporary refuge in the country.

Earlier on 18 November, Zelenskyy met with representatives of Spanish defence companies and they discussed joint projects.

Commenting on his visit to Spain, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is working to ensure that a meeting with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez "brings agreements that will give us greater strength".
