Zelenskyy and his Polish counterpart Nawrocki meet in Warsaw
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is on a visit to Poland, has met with his Polish counterpart Karol Nawrocki.
Zelenskyy is to hold meetings in Warsaw on 19 December with Nawrocki, the speakers of the Sejm and the Senate (chambers of the Polish parliament), and with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
It is expected that after the meeting with Nawrocki, the leaders of the two countries will hold a press conference. Zelenskyy was greeted in Warsaw with the Ukrainian national anthem.
Zelenskyy arrived in Poland on an official visit on Thursday evening.
Earlier, officials in Warsaw confirmed that the Polish side had proposed that the presidents meet on 19 December.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk suggested that he might stay longer at the summit of EU leaders and be late for the meeting with the president of Ukraine, which is to take place in Warsaw on Friday.
