Zelenskyy to visit Romania on 12 March

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit Romania on Thursday 12 March, where he will meet with his counterpart Nicușor Dan and the country's Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.

According to the visit programme, Dan will receive the Ukrainian leader at Cotroceni Palace at around 13:30 local time.

The talks between the sides will focus on boosting economic, energy, and defence cooperation, developing connectivity and cross-border projects, and on Romania's role in Ukraine's recovery.

Dan's press service noted that the leaders of the two nations will also exchange views on the enlargement of the European Union, transatlantic relations, the security situation in the Black Sea region and recent developments at the regional and global levels.

Zelenskyy will also be received at Victoria Palace, where he will hold an official meeting with Bolojan.

On 13 March, European Pravda reported that Zelenskyy will travel to Paris for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

It was also reported that Zelenskyy may take part in a meeting of the European Council, which will be held in Brussels on 19-20 March.
