Zelenskyy: Ukraine receives new batch of Patriot air defence missiles

Friday, 10 April 2026 —

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukraine has recently received a new batch of missiles for Patriot air defence systems.

"As of now, our partners are supplying missiles for Patriot systems. A new batch has recently arrived. We continue working with all of our partners to ensure we have air defences," Zelensky said, as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.

European Pravda notes that Zelenskyy recently said he is concerned that a prolonged war in the Middle East could further undermine US support for Ukraine due to shifting global priorities in Washington.

Earlier, Zelenskyy stressed the need to prepare for a possible halt in US weapons supplies, although he said there were currently no signals indicating such a move.

Previously, the Financial Times reported that US President Donald Trump had threatened to stop weapons supplies to Ukraine under the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme unless European allies joined the operation to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Later, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that Trump is reassessing not only US membership of the Alliance but also support for European efforts in Ukraine.
