Zelenskyy to Meet Polish Opposition — Media

Wednesday, 5 April 2023

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with a group of representatives of local authorities and opposition politicians in Warsaw, which originally was not initially planned.

In the afternoon on Wednesday, Zelenskyy will meet with Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski and other representatives of local self-government, who are actively helping Ukraine. The meeting is scheduled at the Royal Castle at 5:30 p.m.

Trzaskowski competed with Duda in the 2020 elections.

According to unofficial information, Zelenskyy will meet with representatives of local self-government bodies and NGOs that support refugees from Ukraine.

According to the official programme provided by the Office of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda and Zelenskyy are to meet officially "people involved in helping Ukraine" at this time.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Poland for a visit on April 5.

This is his first official visit to Warsaw during the full-scale war.

The presidents of Ukraine and Poland have crossed paths twice "in work mode" in Rzeszów – in December 2022 and February 2023.

Ukraine's president has traveled abroad only twice during the full-scale invasion - to Washington and London, Paris and Brussels.
