NATO to Send "Substantial" Aid Package to Ukraine

NATO leaders have agreed to send a new aid package to Ukraine.

As CNN reports, National Security Council senior director for Europe Amanda Sloat, said that the alliance will also hold the inaugural meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, before Biden meets with Zelensky, with "near and long-term support for Ukraine" on the agenda

The representative of the United States government declined to provide additional details.

Slot added that later on Wednesday, Biden will give a major address on foreign policy, reflecting on the strength and power of the NATO alliance.

As previously reported, the UK announced provision to Ukraine more than 70 combat and logistic vehicles, thousands of rounds of ammunition for Challenger 2 tanks, and a GBP 50 million ($64.7 million) support package for equipment repair, as well as a medical rehabilitation center for Ukrainian soldiers.

On Tuesday, Ukraine signed a memorandum with its 11 partner states at the NATO Summit in Vilnius. The memorandum defines the conditions of training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 fighters.
