Germany Sent Six Gepards and Thousands of Munitions to Ukraine

Germany has announced a new shipment of military assistance to Ukraine, which includes self-propelled anti-aircraft guns Gepard and ammunition for them.

According to the updated list of weapons transferred to Ukraine, published by the German government, six Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and over 15,000 munitions for them have been shipped.

The new assistance package also includes over 2,600 rounds 115 mm smoke shells, 10 Bandvagn 206 all-terrain vehicles, 20 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance UAVs, and 13 Vector reconnaissance drones.

Additionally, Germany is providing eight ambulances and eight dental sterilisers.

Last week, for the first time, the assistance package from Germany included Leopard 1 A5 tanks.

During the NATO summit in Vilnius, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed a new assistance package for Ukraine at roughly 600 million euros.

The package includes two launchers for the Patriot air defence system, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 25 Leopard 1 tanks, and one Luna unmanned aerial vehicle system.
