Zelenskyy to visit Netherlands on Tuesday

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is due to arrive in the Netherlands on Tuesday 16 December on an official visit.

Zelenskyy will be received in The Hague by acting Prime Minister Dick Schoof. They will hold a working lunch at the prime minister's official residence, the Catshuis. Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel and Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans will also be present. The meeting will focus on peace talks and continued support for Ukraine.

Later in the day, Zelenskyy will be received by King Willem-Alexander at Huis ten Bosch Palace.

Dutch News, citing the Dutch government information service (RVD), reported that during the visit, Zelenskyy is also due to address both houses of the Netherlands' parliament in The Hague.

It was reported earlier that Zelenskyy arrived in Berlin on Sunday 14 December for talks on a "peace plan".

France's President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Finland's President Alexander Stubb are also expected in Berlin on Monday 15 December.

Media reports indicate Stubb arrived in Berlin on Sunday and held a short meeting with Trump's negotiators.

According to the schedule disclosed by the Office of the President of Ukraine, the meeting of the leaders is due to begin at 20:00 Kyiv time.
