Zelenskyy reports good meeting with Armenian PM

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has had a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Zelenskyy described his meeting with Pashinyan as "good".

"We discussed the situation in the region, as well as security challenges and threats. I briefed the Prime Minister on the diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a real peace. We also discussed the development of our economic partnership," Zelenskyy wrote on X.

Zelenskyy also proposed that Pashinyan resume the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and hold its next meeting in Kyiv this year.

Pashinyan, speaking about his meeting with Zelenskyy, said they had discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation.

"[We] exchanged views on key regional & global developments. [We] emphasised the importance of advancing sustainable peace," Pashinyan said.

It was reported earlier that Zelenskyy also agreed on an exchange of visits during his meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

The day before, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Armenia. He also met Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
