Over 40% of Poles say military aid to Ukraine has been excessive

According to a poll, 44.8% of Poles believe that the military assistance Poland has provided to Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion has been excessive.

According to the SW Research poll commissioned by Polish news portal Onet, Respondents were asked how they assess the scale of Poland's military assistance to Ukraine.

The largest share of respondents, 44.8%, said the assistance has been excessive.

Another 38.2% said the level of support has been appropriate.

A further 6.8% believe Poland has provided too little military assistance to Ukraine, while 10.2% answered that they did not know.

The SW Research poll was conducted on 8 July using the CAWI (computer-assisted web interviewing) method. A total of 809 adult respondents from across Poland took part in the survey.

On 4 July, Krzysztof Bosak, co-leader of Poland's far-right, anti-Ukrainian Confederation party and Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, claimed that the Polish government secretly transferred Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine in March.

Against this backdrop, Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz disclosed details of the military assistance Warsaw has provided to Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
